Ryan Reaves, John Tavares and Simon Benoit also scored for the Maple Leafs.
Morgan Reilly and Mitch Marner each had two assists for the Maple Leafs.
Ilya Samsonov made 24 saves for Toronto, who moved to 25-14-8.
Dylan Samberg and Mason Appleton scored for the Jets.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 26 shots for Winnipeg, who dropped to 30-12-5.
Dylan Samberg gave the Jets an early lead 4:11 into the contest when he floated a wrister from the left point through traffic and past Samsonov to make it 1-0.
The goal was his 1st of the season and first in 77 games.
Ryan Reaves tied the game at 19:11 when he redirected Tyler Bertuzzi appeared to put Toronto ahead at 19:50 when he knocked the puck past Hellebuyck but Michael Nylander interfered with the Jet goaltender, shoving him back into the net.
The play was ruled no goal by the officials and upheld upon appeal.
There was no scoring in the second period.
John Tavares gave Toronto the lead on the power play just under two minutes into the third period.
With Dylan DeMelo off for tripping, the Leafs veteran tipped a Morgan Reilly shot past Hellebuyck to make it 2-1 at 1:54.

Auston Matthews gave Toronto a cushion at the 15:28 mark of the third period with a power play goal after he blasted a Mitch Marnner feed from the slot past Hellebuyck to make it 3-1.

Flyers shutout Jets 2-0 as eight game winning streak comes to an end

The Flyers, who were playing back-to-back after beating Minnesota in overtime Friday night, played a gritty game and capitalized on their scoring chances. Samuel Ersson turned aside 35 shots for Philadelphia, who moved to 23-14-6.
Connor Hellebuyck made 33 saves for Winnipeg, who dropped to 28-10-4.
The Jets, suffered their first loss in their last eight games.
Cam Atkinson opened the scoring 14:47 into the first when he redirected a Josh Farabee pass through Connor Hellebuyck's pads to put Philadelphia up 1-0.
Atkinson knotted his second goal of the night on the power play at 2:52 into the second when he knocked a rebound off a Morgan Frost shot past Hellebuyck.
The goal was his 10th of the season.
Winnipeg pushed back, getting a scoring chance with 3:26 left in the second but were thwarted bt Ersson when he made a pad save and another with just over a minute left when Josh Morrissey moved in and cranked off a shot but Ersson was equal to the task.
There was no scoring in the third period.
Jets Head Coach Rick Bowness elected to pull his goaltender with over two minutes reamining in regulation.
Philadelphia visits St. Louis on Monday while Winnipeg hosts the New York Islanders on Tuesday to wrap up a four-game homestand.

Winnipeg moved to 27-9-4 and extended their winning streak to seven games.
Daniil Tarasov turned aside 18 shots for Columbus, who dropped to 13-20-9.
Brendan Dillon opened the scoring 3:12 into the opening period when he joined the rush and his pass attempt to Mark Scheifele went in off of Columbus defenceman Erik Gudbranson's stick.
Cole Sillinger came close to tying it at 7:20 when he hit the goalpost off a wrister from the high slot.
Cole Perfetti slammed a puck past Tarasov from the left post after Dylan Samberg fed him from behind the Blue Jackets goal 10:50 into the second.
Josh Morrissey blew a forty foot slap shot past Tarasov after Adam Lowry cut across the blue line and hit the Jet defenceman with a cross-ice pass that Morrissey unloaded, beating Tarasov high glove side to make it 3-0 Jets at 14:03.

Cole Perfetti scored 3:44 into the third when he intercepted a pass in the Columbus zone before firing the puck past Tarasov on his way to the ice to make it 4-0 Jets.

They won their third straight and have won eight of their last ten contests, their only blemish, a pair of overtime losses during that stretch.
Neal Pionk, Alex Iafallo, Nikolaj Ehlers and Morgan Barron scored for the Jets.
Vladislav Namestnikov had three assists.

Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov replied for the Lightning.

Andrei Vasilevskiy turned aside 24 shots for Tampa Bay, who dropped to 18-16-5.

Nikolaj Ehlers scored at 15:13 of the third period after Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy's attempt to clear the puck was intercepted by Vladislav Namestnikov who got the disc back to Ehlers, who snapped it past the Lightning goaltender to put Winnipeg up 3-1.
Morgan Barron added an empty netter with 2:07 remaining in regulation to clinch the win for the Jets.

The win was Montreal's second straight and snapped Winnipeg's two-game winning streak.
Josh Anderson had a goal and an assist for Montreal.
Christian Dvorak also scored for the Canadiens.
Jake Allen made 29 saves for Montreal, who moved to 14-13-4.
Gabriel Vilardi and Cole Perfetti scored for the Jets.
Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 24 shots for Winnipeg, who dropped to 18-9-3.
There was no scoring in the first period.
Josh Anderson got Montreal on the board just under five minutes into the second period after the Jets failed to clear their zone.
Jake Evans took control of the puck and cut toward the center of the ice before slipping the disc to Mike Matheson before his shot was redirected off of Anderson's skate past Hellebuyck.
The goal was his third in his last two games after garnering a lone empty net tally in the Canadiens first 29 games.
Christian Dvorak scored on the power play at 15:04 after Josh Anderson took control of the puck and drove to the net which allowed Dvorak to score into a wide open net.

Oilers score late: Hand Jets their third straight loss

The Oiler centreman made no mistake, one timing the disc through a sprawled Connor Hellebuyck to make it 2-1.
Most of the night the Oiler offence was stymied by Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck who made 36 saves.
Darnell Nurse and Ryan Mcleod also scored for the Oilers.
Stuart Skinner turned aside 25 shots for Edmonton, who moved to 9-12-1.
Cole Perfetti scored for the Jets.
Winnipeg dropped their third straight game to move to 12-8-2.
The Oilers carried the play through most of the first period, outshooting the Jets 12-8.
With Brett Kulak off for holding the stick, Cole Perfetti got the Jets on the board with a power play marker at 8:27 when he tipped a Mark Schiefele shot from the slot past Skinner.
The goal was his 8th of the season.
Kyle Connor nearly extended the lead just under five minutes into the second when he broke in alone on Skinner but failed to beat the Oiler goaltender.
Mattias Janmark had a chance to tie the contest late in the second period when he broke in alone on Hellebuyck shortanded but the Jets goaltender was equal to the task.

Leon Draisaitl scored a late power play goal to tie the game at one.
Ryan McLeod added an empty netter to seal the win for the Oilers.
"If there's a right way to win, that's what it looks like. I thought the guys stuck with it all night. I thought we did a...just a great job in both ends overall," said Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner, who made 25 saves. "I think especially in this game we did a really good job with that (locking the game down). Obviously there is some tweaks that has to be made. As always every win every loss you know there's some things to improve on."
Oilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch thought his club's effort was consistent on the night.
“I was very happy with our guys. There could, obviously, have been frustration. I thought we played pretty well for the first 40 minutes, could have had some goals. Their goalie played really well. A few missed chances, just missing wide, and the guys didn’t deviate from the game plan and stuck with it. We got a little bit of a break on the first goal, but I think it was deserved considering how many opportunities we had," he said.
Jets Head Coach Rick Bowness said his club got dominated in the faceoff circle and that was a key factor for the loss.
"Our biggest problem tonight was faceoffs. They killed us in the faceoff circle, so you’re chasing them all the time. We’re not trying to sit back, but they’re winning so many faceoffs we end up chasing them. We won 29 per cent, they won 71, I mean, that’s pretty much the whole game we’re chasing them. So that’s an issue. But look at the first shift in that third period, we went right after them. And that was a Grade A, we had a good opportunity there but just couldn’t get that second goal.”
