Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves for Winnipeg, who moved to 13-8-2.
Connor Bedard scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks, his 11th of the season.
Arvid Soderblom stopped 25 shots for Chicago, who dropped to 7-16-0.
Connor Bedard scored 4:39 into the first period to give the Blackhawks the early lead.
The 18 year-old centre forced a turnover in the high slot before streaking to open ice in the right faceoff circle to one time a Philipp Kurashev return feed past a sprawling Hellebuyck.
The goal extended his road point streak to eight games.
Mark Scheifele tied it at 10:43 on the power play when Gabriel Valardi took control of the puck in the neutral zone and skated wide before feeding open Schiefele in the slot, who snapped the disc past Soderblom to make it 1-1.
The goal was his 8th of the season.
Morgan Barron gave the Jets the lead 6:23 into the second when he took a Nikolaj Ehlers feed at centre ice before bursting down the left side and beating Soderblom with a hard wrister to make it 2-1.

Cole Perfetti made it 3-1 Winnipeg just over halfway through the third when he tipped a Dylan Samberg shot from the left point past Soderblom to make it 3-1 at 10:06.

Oilers score late: Hand Jets their third straight loss

The Oiler centreman made no mistake, one timing the disc through a sprawled Connor Hellebuyck to make it 2-1.
Most of the night the Oiler offence was stymied by Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck who made 36 saves.
Darnell Nurse and Ryan Mcleod also scored for the Oilers.
Stuart Skinner turned aside 25 shots for Edmonton, who moved to 9-12-1.
Cole Perfetti scored for the Jets.
Winnipeg dropped their third straight game to move to 12-8-2.
The Oilers carried the play through most of the first period, outshooting the Jets 12-8.
With Brett Kulak off for holding the stick, Cole Perfetti got the Jets on the board with a power play marker at 8:27 when he tipped a Mark Schiefele shot from the slot past Skinner.
The goal was his 8th of the season.
Kyle Connor nearly extended the lead just under five minutes into the second when he broke in alone on Skinner but failed to beat the Oiler goaltender.
Mattias Janmark had a chance to tie the contest late in the second period when he broke in alone on Hellebuyck shortanded but the Jets goaltender was equal to the task.
Darnell Nurse tied the contest 13:11 into the third after taking a Ryan Mcleod feed in the netural zone before moving in and unleashing a wrister that Hellebuyck got a piece of before the disc slid past his outstretched glove.

Leon Draisaitl scored a late power play goal to tie the game at one.
Ryan McLeod added an empty netter to seal the win for the Oilers.
"If there's a right way to win, that's what it looks like. I thought the guys stuck with it all night. I thought we did a...just a great job in both ends overall," said Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner, who made 25 saves. "I think especially in this game we did a really good job with that (locking the game down). Obviously there is some tweaks that has to be made. As always every win every loss you know there's some things to improve on."
Oilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch thought his club's effort was consistent on the night.
“I was very happy with our guys. There could, obviously, have been frustration. I thought we played pretty well for the first 40 minutes, could have had some goals. Their goalie played really well. A few missed chances, just missing wide, and the guys didn’t deviate from the game plan and stuck with it. We got a little bit of a break on the first goal, but I think it was deserved considering how many opportunities we had," he said.
Jets Head Coach Rick Bowness said his club got dominated in the faceoff circle and that was a key factor for the loss.
"Our biggest problem tonight was faceoffs. They killed us in the faceoff circle, so you’re chasing them all the time. We’re not trying to sit back, but they’re winning so many faceoffs we end up chasing them. We won 29 per cent, they won 71, I mean, that’s pretty much the whole game we’re chasing them. So that’s an issue. But look at the first shift in that third period, we went right after them. And that was a Grade A, we had a good opportunity there but just couldn’t get that second goal.”

Matt Duchene sent Mason Marchment on a two-on-one break which ended when he hit Seguin with a crisp pass and the Dallas centre made no mistake, firing the puck past an outstretched Hellebuyck.
Joe Pavelski had the other Stars goal.
Jake Oettinger turned aside 27 shots for Dallas, who moved to 12-6-2.
There was no scoring in the first period.
Connor Hellebuyck made 19 saves for Winnipeg, who dropped to 12-7-2.
Winnipeg has dropped their last two games after a five-game winning streak.

Matt Duchene nearly got the Stars on the board just under nine minutes into the second period when he broke in alone on Hellebuyck but ended up crashing into the net.

Dallas got on the board first 12:54 into the second when Roope Hintz cut by the net and slid the disc to a wide open Joe Pavelski who beat Hellebuyck with a low shot.

Kyle Connor was thwarted on a breakaway with just over a minute left when Mark Scheifele found him floating at centre ice.
Cole Perfetti opened the scoring 2:12 into the second period when he took a drop pass from Vladislav Namestnikov just inside the blue line before moving into the high slot and drifting a high wrister past Comrie to make it 1-0 Jets.
“Little bit, yeah," said Perfetti. "I put an emphasis a bit more on shooting the puck, especially when the puck seems to be going in the back of the net. You know, they’re not all going to be pretty, especially last game, that was an ugly one. But puck’s going in the back of the net and I’m just keeping on trying to funnel it towards there. I think I only had like one shot tonight, but I think I would normally try to make that pass to Fly, but I realized the D was kind of in between us and I had the shot, so I took it and it ended up going in. So, yeah, the puck is definitely going in the back of the net for our line and it’s working. So, we just have to keep doing what we’re doing and creating chances.”
The goal was his 6th of the season and marked his fifth straight game with a tally.
Mason Appleton made it 2-0 2:11 later when he drove the net hard, put his stick down and Nino Niederreiter hit him with a hard pass from the side boards at 4:23.

Alex Tuch replied 33 seconds later when Connor Hellebuyck poked the puck right to him in the slot at 4:56.
Tuch fired a low shot past the Jet goaltender to pull Buffalo to within one.
Nikolaj Ehlers floated a wrister from the blue line to restore the two-goal cushion at 8:12 that got by Comrie beating him high glove side.

“Classic hockey goal, very well-rehearsed and practiced and exactly how we wanted it," quipped Ehlers afterward.
J.J. Peterka scored on a breakaway one minute into the third after he followed up on his initial shot and slid the disc past Hellebuyck.

Buffalo pushed hard in the game's final minutes but were unable to score.
Sabres Head Coach Don Granato said the game was a blender of play for his club.
"The third period I will say for me was the culmination of everything to this point of the year and our guys finally decided to wake up and compete harder instead of waiting," he said. "Obviously I had a message for them unlike a normal message you would get after a period. I like they way they responded. But it's not what I say, they know. There's guys in that room they know they need more.".
Jets Head Coach Scott Arniel said they knew the Sabres were coming hard after the second period.
“You know what, there’s times I didn’t really like how we defended through the neutral zone with their breakouts. Third period, Dahlin, wow, he’s special, that breakaway. He was making one pass from behind his net and he was gone. I didn’t think we did a great job of clogging up the guts of the ice, and that’s obviously through the neutral zone and in our end. We need to be a little bit better at that, I think that’s something we make sure to look at. But we knew that third period, down 3-1 they were coming. They really were. It was a four-man attack. We had some clips, we were looking at some stuff after the second period where we caught four of their guys below our goal line. And they’re an offensive group. They’re going to go. And in that third period they really pushed us back on our heels.”
Winnipeg hosts Arizona Saturday while Buffalo visits Chicago Sunday.

With Tyler Toffoli off for cross checking, Cole Perfetti scored on the power play to give the Jets a two-goal lead when he picked a corner from in front of the net at 13:54.
Timo Meier scored on the power play when picked the top corner on Hellebuyck from the high slot after he one timed a Ondrej Palat feed at 14:54.
New Jersey tied it up just over a minute later when Hellebuyck was out of postiion and John Marino snapped up a rebound off a Luke Hughes shot to make it 2-2 at 16:06.
Nikolaj Ehlers scored into a wide open net when Cole Perfetti found him with a cross-ice feed which the Jet winger hammered past Vanecek at 18:10.

Morgan Barron scored at 11:58 after Vladislav Namestnikov crushed New Jersey defenceman Kevin Bahl against the end boards and stripped him of the puck.
Namestnikov moved behind the net before feeding Barron who snapped a wrister past Vanecek to make it 5-2 Jets.
Dawson Mercer pulled New Jersey to within two at 14;17 with Josh Morrissey off for cross checking.

Nikolaj Ehlers added an empty netter with 1:30 left in regulation to seal the win for the Jets.
Devils defenceman John Marino summed up his team's efforts succinctly afterward.
"A full 60 minutes. We come back, down 2-0, we make it 2-2 and then give up a goal right away. It's pretty deflating. Then the goal where it's' 4-2 — there's not much time in the game, so it's pretty deflating. We just need to manage the game better in those situations."
New Jersey Head Coach Lindy Ruff thought it was a close game.
“We didn’t give up a lot in the first (period), obviously. Second, a couple mistakes that you’d like to have back. And then you look at a couple late goals, we’re getting first touch and we don’t execute. Another goal, same type of thing. We fall down on the penalty kill and it ends up in the back of your net on a one faceoff, so when that happens it’s tough to swallow.”
Jets Head Coach Scott Arniel said his team executed their game plan.
"You know, we talked all week. We talked about Dallas, we talked about these guys. These good teams, you've got to make them play in their end of the rink. If you have a play coming through that neutral zone and you can make it, make it. But a lot of times this game is about putting it below the hashmarks and then going to work and we're a pretty good forechecking team. We do a pretty good job of staying above people. And in our contact, when our first guy's there, the second guy gets there quick and, like you said, there were some really good rewards from that forecheck and it's a big part of our game."
New Jersey visits Pittsburgh while Winnipeg hosts Buffalo on Friday.

Philippe Mailloux and Olivier Gallipeau scored for the Rocket.
Strauss Mann stopped 26 shots for Laval, who moved to 3-8-1-0.
Wyatt Bongiovanni, Ashton Sautner scored for the Moose.
Thomas Milic turned aside 26 shots for Manitoba in his first AHL start, who dropped to 4-6-0-0.
Laval carried the play early with quick puck movement and speed and the Moose were slow to respond, spotting the visitors a two-goal lead after the first period.
Laval took an early lead 1:23 into the opening frame when Philippe Maillet shovelled a loose puck off a goalmouth scramble past Milic to give them a 1-0 lead.

Olivier Gallpeau made it 2-0 when he moved in from his point position when Sean Farrell hit him with a crisp pass in the high slot which the Laval defenceman blew by Milic to score his first goal of the season at 18:22 of the first period.

The Rocket took a 3-1 lead when Joshua Roy sat on the edge of the crease and hammered a Sean Farrell feed from the side of the net past Milic at 18:11.

Xavier Simoneau scored 1:44 into the third to make it 4-1 Laval when he drove the net hard while Mitchell Stevens burst to the outside before hitting Simoneau with a hard pass that he redirected past Milic.
