Penguins paste Jets 7-2 Featured

Winnipeg, Manitoba(NHN)-Zach Aston-Reese fired a pair of goals and added an assist to pace the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 7-2 pasting of the Winnipeg Jets Sunday night.

The game marked the second straight contest where Pittsburgh scored seven goals.

Sam Lafferty and Jake Guentzel also had two goals for the Penguins while Dominik Simon added a single.

Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang each had a pair of assists.

Letang picked up his 500th career point.

Tristan Jarry stopped 27 shots and picked up the win for Pittsburgh, who moved to 4-2-0 on the season.

Mark Scheifele and Matthieu Perreault replied for the Jets.

Laurent Brossoit took the loss for Winnipeg, their first in four games, turning aside 21 shots.

Both clubs were playing their second game in as many nights, with both posting wins Saturday night.
