Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Jack Roslovic fired two goals and had a pair of assists to pace the the Manitoba Moose to a 6-4 win over the Chicago Wolves Friday night. The Moose swept the two-game series with the win. Manitoba sits atop the Central division standings with 22 points. Chicago holds down 7th spot with 9 points on the season. The Moose host the Laval Rocket beginning on Sunday while Chicago wraps up a three-game road trip on Sunday in Rockford. Julian Melchiori, Sami Niku, Buddy Robinson and Chase De Leo had singles for the Moose. Mason Appleton had a pair of assists for Manitoba. Eric Comrie turned aside 37 shots for the Moose. Brandon Pirri, Brett Sterling, Stefan Matteau had singles for the Wolves. Jason Garrison had a goal and an assist for Chicago. Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 25 shots in the loss for the Wolves. Manitoba got on the board early 1:05 into the contest when Julian Melchiori beat Chicago goaltender Kasmir Kaskisuo with a slapshot from the point. The goal was his 2nd of the season. Sami Niku made it 2-0 after moving in from his point position and ripping a wrister past Kaskisuo, beating the Chicago netminder glove side at 8:42. With Brendan Lemieux off for unsportsmanlike conduct, Chicago wasted no time getting on the board when when Brandon Pirri one timed a Jason Garrison feed past Manitoba goaltender Eric Comrie to make it 2-1 at 12:49 of the first period. The goal was his 4th of the season. The Wolves evened the contest at 15:33 when Brett Sterling shovelled a bouncing puck past Comrie to make it 2-2. The goal was his 2nd of the season. With Bryce Gervais off for high sticking the Moose power play struck again at 17:44 when Buddy Robinson relayed in a Cameron Schilling shot past Kaskisuo. The goal was his 6th of the season. Stefan Matteau drew Chicago even at 8:33 of second period, banking a shot in from the side of the Manitoba goal off of Comrie's right goal pad after Beau Bennett hit him with a slick pass from behind the net. The goal was his 3rd of the season. Jack Roslovic restored the one goal lead at 12:58 after converting at Peter Stoykweych pass from just inside the blue line. Roslovic skated to the top of the right face off circle before snapping a wrister just inside the goal post to make it 4-3 Moose. The goal was his 9th of the season. With Brody Sutter off for tripping Jason Garrison blasted a slapper past Moose goaltender Eric Comrie from the point to even the contest at 4 apiece. Jack Roslovic put the Moose ahead just 11 seconds later, jumping on a loose puck in the Wolves zone before going through a Chicago defender and firing a low shot past Kaskisuo to make it 4-3.
