Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Wyatt Johnson had a goal and an assist to pace the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Harley and Matt Duchene also scored for Dallas.

Scott Wedgewood turned aside 31 shots for the Stars, who moved to 9-3-1.

Cole Perfetti and Brendan Dillon scored for the Jets who saw their modest three-game winning streak snapped.

Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves for Winnipeg, who dropped to 7-5-2.

There was no scoring in the first period.

Thomas Harley scored for Dallas 2:13 into the second period when Winnipeg failed to clear their zone.

Ryan Suter found him with a cross ice pass and Harley blasted a slapshot past Hellebuyck, beating him high glove side to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.

The goal was his third of the season.

Wyatt Johnston made it 2-0 with a shorthanded goal at 5:20 when he scooped up a puck just inside the Winnipeg blue line out of Cole Perfetti's skates before breaking in and firing a low shot, short side on Hellebuyck from the left face off dot.

The goal was his fifth of the season.

Cole Perfetti got Winnipeg on the board 8:28 when he snapped a rebound off a Nikolaj Ehlers shot into a wide open net as he streaked in to the net.

The goal was his fourth of the season.

Matt Duchene restored the Stars two-goal lead at 11:58 when he converted a Wyatt Johnston feed from the side of the net to make it 3-1.

Brendan Dillon scored at 10:05 of the third to pull the Jets to within a goal when he sailed a wrister through traffic from the blue line to beat Wedgewood.

The goal was his fourth of the season.

Winnipeg nearly tied it with 8:38 remaining in regulation when Morgan Barron and Vladislav Namestnikov broke in on a 2-on-1 but Wedgewood kicked Namestnikov's redirection away.

Winnipeg hosts New Jersey Tuesday while Dallas returns home to face Arizona.

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Jack Eichel's power play goal with 4:36 remaining in the third period proved to be the game winner as the Vegas Golden Knights edged the Winnipeg Jets by a 5-3 score Thursday night.

Eichel took a cross ice feed from Mark Stone and promptly snapped the disc over a sagging Laurent Brossoit's left shoulder to give the Golden Knights their fifth straight win to start the NHL season.

Jonathan Marchessault, Brett Howden and Alec Martinez also scored for Vegas, who won their 5th game of the season.

Shea Theodore had three assists.

Mark Stone had a pair of assists.

Logan Thompson turned aside 35 shots for the Golden Knights (5-0-0).

Alex Iafallo netted two goals for Winnipeg.

Cole Perfetti scored the other Jet marker.

Nikolaj Ehlers had two assists.

Laurent Brossoit made 22 saves for the Winnipeg, lost their second straight game to drop to 1-3-0.

Alex Iafallo got Winnipeg on the board 1:30 into the contest when he drove the net and snagged the rebound off a Josh Morrissey shot, snapping the disc past Logan Thompson to give the Jets a 1-0 lead.

Kyle Connor nearly made it 2-0 at 11:32 when he grazed the post off the rush but Vegas cleared the puck out of the zone.

Brett Howden scored 49 seconds into the second to give Vegas the lead after he finished off a two-on-one pass from Mark Stone to score his first of the season.

Alec Martinez gave the Golden Knights a two-goal cushion 15:27 into the second when he canned a William Karlsson feed from the corner past Brossoit as he snapped a wrister off the goal post.

Cole Perfetti replied 33 seconds later when he finished off a three-way passing play off the rush with a backhand deke after Vladisav Namestnikov sent him in alone at 16:00.

The goal was his 1st of the season.

Alex Iafallo netted his second of the contest on the power play at 11:32 of the third period.

With Ivan Barbashev off for holding, Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Scheifele worked the puck in close to the net before Scheifele left a backhand drop pass for Iafallo who snapped the disc past Thompson to knot the score at 3.

The goal was his third of the season.

Jack Eichel scored on the power play with 4:36 remaining in regulation to give Vegas the lead as the picked the top corner blocker side on Brossoit after Mark Stone hit him with a cross slot feed.

Nicolas Roy added an empty netter with just over a minute left in regulation to seal the win for the Golden Knights.

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Trevor Moore scored twice and added an assist to pace the Los Angeles Kings to a 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night.

The win was the first of the season for Los Angeles, who dropped their first two contests.

The game marked the return of former Jet, Pierre-Luc Dubois to Winnipeg.

The 25 year-old centre refused to sign a long term deal with the Jets, forcing Winnipeg to move him to Los Angeles in the off-season in a package deal which saw Gabriel Vilardi, Alex Iafallo and Rasmus Kupari join the Jets.

Dubois did his part, scoring the game's first goal.

Arthur Kaliyev also scored for Los Angeles.

Philip Danault had a goal and a pair of assists.

Cam Talbot stopped 26 shots to backstop the Kings to their first win of the season (1-1-1).

Mark Scheifele scored Winnipeg's lone goal of the contest.

Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves for Winnipeg, who dropped to 1-2-0.

There was no scoring in the first period. Jets winger Gabriel Vilardi went down just under the six minutes into the contest when he fell awkwardly into the boards after being tripped by Blake Lizotte. Vilardi left the game favoring his right knee.

Josh Morrissey nearly gave Winnipeg the lead on the ensuing power play when he hit the cross bar off a shot from the point.

Pierre-Luc Dubois got LA on the board after he cashed in off an Antze Kopitar shot and snapped a low shot past Hellebuyck just a loose puck in the slot and fired it past Hellebuyck seconds after Morgan Barron's penalty expired.

The goal was his first of the season.

Jets centre Cole Perfetti took a stiff check into the boards with just over six minutes left in the second when Kings defenceman Andreas Englund caught him standing two feet from the boards in the neutral zone.

Dylan Samberg came to his defence, losing a one sided, two-punch fight to him in addition to taking the instagator, leaving the Jets shorthanded.

Trevor Moore made it 2-0 at 16:19 when Philip Danault caught him cutting for the net with a slick backhand pass from the corner.

Moore beat Hellebuyck with a low shot to score his 2nd goal of the season.

Arthur Kaliyev scored 2:51 into the third after Cole Perfetti turned over the puck right behind the Jets net and right onto Trevor Moore's stick.

Moore fed Kaliyev in front and the Kings forward slid the disc past Hellebuyck to make it 3-0 L.A.

Moore added an insurance marker with 5:29 remaining in regulation, breaking down his off wing before snapping a high shot past Hellebuyck, beating him blocker side to make it 4-0 Los Angeles.

Philip Danault scored to make it 5-0 with 3:28 remaining to put the game out of reach.

Mark Scheifele scored with 1:16 left in the third, scooping up a Dylan DeMelo shot from the point to make it 5-1.

Los Angeles visits Minnesota while Winnipeg hosts Las Vegas on Thursday.

The win was the first of the season for Winnipeg.

Josh Morrissey had a pair of assists for the Jets.

Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves for Winnipeg, who evened their record at 1-1-0.

Evan Rodrigues two goals and an assist for the Panthers.

Sam Reinhart had a goal and an assist.

Carter Verhaeghe scored the other Florida goal.

Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 29 shots for the Panthers, who dropped to 0-2-0 on the season.

Mark Scheifele got the Jets on the board 3:30 into the first on the power play when he took a Kyle Connor feed just inside the Panthers blue line before splitting the Panthers defence before beating Bobrovsky with a high wrister.

The goal was his second of the season.

With Brendan Dillon off for delay of game, Sam Reinhart tied the contest just 33 seconds into the ensuing power play at 17:03 when he tapped a puck past Hellebuyck at the goalmouth off a Evan Rodrigues feed from the high slot.

Florida took the lead 25 seconds into the second period when Evan Rodrigues knocked a rebound off a Dmitry Kulikov point shot past Hellebuyck.

Kyle Connor replied ten seconds later when he fired a Mark Scheifele feed from behind the net past Bobrovsky to knot the game at 2 at 35 seconds.

Morgan Barron scored 8:20 into the second to give Winnipeg the lead when Rasmus Kupari got hold of the puck deep in the Florida end before working his way behind the the Panthers goal before circling back on his backhand before flipping Barron the puck.

Barron simply slipped the disc into the goal.

Dylan DeMelo made it 4-2 when he took a Cole Perfetti feed from the left corner and ripped a wrister from the high slot past Bobrovsky, beating him high blocker side to score his first of the season at 9:55.

Mason Appleton got Winnipeg's fifth goal of the game shorthanded at 14:17 of the third after converting a Lowry centering pass.

Lowry had the stick knocked out of his hands in the Jet zone before he kicked the disc ahead and had a stick handed to him by a teammate off the bench.

Lowry skated into the Florida end before feeding Appleton who kneaded a forehand through Bobrovsky's pads to sscore his first of the season.

Carter Verhaeghe scored with 3:29 remaining in the third to pull the Panthers to within two after Paul Maurice pulled his goaltender.

Aleksander Barkov scored at 17:36 after Sam Reinhart pulled up just over the Winnipeg blue line and hit him with a crisp pass.

Barkov beat Hellebuyck with a forty foot wrister to make it 5-4.

Tkachuk nearly tied it with about a minute and a half left in regulation when he hit the goalpost on a partial breakaway.

Kyle Connor added an empty netter with 1:10 to go to seal the win for the Jets, their first of the regular season.

Florida visits New Jersey Monday while Winnipeg hosts Los Angeles Tuesday.

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Josh Bailey and Jakob Chychrun each had a goal and an assist to pace the visiting Ottawa Senators to a 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets Thursday night.

Anton Forsberg turned aside all 21 shots he faced to pick up the shutout for Ottawa, their second shutout win in a row.

The Senators moved to 6-1-0 in pre-season.

Claude Giroux, Josh Bailey and Jakob Chychrun scored for the Senators.

Jake Sanderson had a pair of assists.

Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 30 shots for Winnipeg, who closed out their pre-season with a 2-3-1 record.

Claude Giroux gave Ottawa the lead 16:58 into the opening stanza when he converted a Brady Tkachuk feed moving in alone on Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck before beating him with a slick backhand forehand deke before sliding the disc past him.

Josh Bailey made it 2-0 late in the second when he got a hold of the puck in the high slot before spinning and firing a low wrister past Hellebuyck, beating him glove side.

Jakob Chychrun scored on the power play just under halfway through third when he converted a Josh Bailey feed from behind the Winnipeg net, beating Hellebuyck with a high wrister at 10:28.

Jets Head Coach Rick Bowness thought his team lost discipline in a penalty filled third period.

"I don't know. All of a sudden we're getting called for hooking and holding and all of a sudden, those things that weren't there were there. I don't know. All of a sudden, they were getting called, everything, and they were legitimate calls. The referee saw it and I saw it so they were legitimate calls. I guess the answer to your question is that we lost our discipline more than anything. And then, I think, from that, a little frustration built in as the period went along and then it continued into taking more penalties."

Senators Head Coach D.J. Smith felt good about his team's effort on the night. "You know still too many penalties. In a row too, that really ruins the flow in the second period. But we came out really well, I thought we defended really well in our zone. We did enough to cut off odd man rushes. The effort was there."

"It's an exhibition game but I thought as a whole we played well," he added.

Ottawa hosts Montreal to wrap up their pre-season on Saturday. Winnipeg opens their regular season on October 11th in Calgary.
