Wolves double up Moose 4-2 Featured

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Dylan Coghlan had a goal and an assist to pace the Chicago Wolves to a 4-2 win over the Manitoba Moose Saturday night.

Coghlan fired a pair of slapshots just over a half minute apart late in the first period which proved to be the difference in the game.

The first was tipped past Moose goaltender Griffen Outhouse by Jermaine Loewen.

The second was a high slapshot from the right side boards just above the right faceoff circle which he blew past Outhouse to give the Wolves the lead.

Reid Duke and Lucas Elvenes also scored for the Wolves, who moved to Oscar Dansk stopped 25 shots for Chicago, who moved to 11-14-2-0 on the season.

Kristian Reichel scored the lone goal for the Moose.

Griffen Outhouse made 25 saves for Manitoba, who dropped to 13-13-0.

Kristian Reichel got Manitoba on the board 11:40 into the first with a 50 foot wrister that he fired through a crowd in front of the Chicago net and caught the inside of the left post.

The goal was his first of the season.

The Wolves pulled even at 18:52 when Jermaine Loewen parked himself in front of Moose goaltender Griffen Outhouse and tipped a Dylan Coghlan blast from the point past him to make it 1-1.

Coghlan struck again just 32 seconds later when he stepped into a slapshot from the right side boards, beating Outhouse with a high slapshot with 36 seconds remaining in the first to give Chicago the lead.

The goal was his 5th of the season.

Reid Duke made it 3-1 6:50 into the second, wiring a high wrister just under the cross bar.

Valentin Zykov stepped around Moose forward Kristian Vesalainen at the blue line after Vesalainen missed his check and hit the Duke with a crisp pass which the Chicago forward promptly snapped past Outhouse to score his 6th of the season.

With Seth Griffith off for high sticking Lucas Elvenes took a feed from Brandon Pirri before breaking in to the hash marks and unleashing a wrister which beat Outhouse glove side to make it 4-1 Wolves at 15:53 of the third.

The goal was his 7th of the season.

J.C Lipon tipped a Cameron Schilling shot past Dansk with 2:13 remaining in regulation to make it 4-2

The goal was his 5th of the season.
