Jets halt 3 game losing skid as they best Blackhawks 3-1 Featured

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-The Winnipeg Jets scored in each period in regulation building a two-goal cushion as they downed the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 to snap a three-game losing skid.

Mark Scheifele, Morgan Barron and Cole Perfetti scored for the Jets.

Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves for Winnipeg, who moved to 13-8-2.

Connor Bedard scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks, his 11th of the season.

Arvid Soderblom stopped 25 shots for Chicago, who dropped to 7-16-0.

Connor Bedard scored 4:39 into the first period to give the Blackhawks the early lead.

The 18 year-old centre forced a turnover in the high slot before streaking to open ice in the right faceoff circle to one time a Philipp Kurashev return feed past a sprawling Hellebuyck.

The goal extended his road point streak to eight games.

Mark Scheifele tied it at 10:43 on the power play when Gabriel Valardi took control of the puck in the neutral zone and skated wide before feeding open Schiefele in the slot, who snapped the disc past Soderblom to make it 1-1.

The goal was his 8th of the season.

Morgan Barron gave the Jets the lead 6:23 into the second when he took a Nikolaj Ehlers feed at centre ice before bursting down the left side and beating Soderblom with a hard wrister to make it 2-1.

The goal was his 4th of the season.

Cole Perfetti made it 3-1 Winnipeg just over halfway through the third when he tipped a Dylan Samberg shot from the left point past Soderblom to make it 3-1 at 10:06.

The goal was his 9th of the season.
