Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 23 shots he faced to earn his 4th shutout of the season as the Winnipeg Jets blanked the visiting Washington Capitals 3-0 Monday night.

Winnipeg got three even strength goals, one per period as they opened a three-game homestand with a win.

Neal Pionk, Alex Iafallo, Kyle Connor scored for the Jets.

Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves for Winnipeg, who moved to 41-18-5.

The Jets, who have won three of their last five contests, moved to within two points of the Central Division leading Dallas Stars, who have 89 points.

Charlie Lindgren turned aside 26 shots for Washington, who dropped to 30-24-9 on the season.

Neal Pionk opened the scoring just over the halfway mark of the first period when he took a cross ice feed from Mason Appleton before moving in and beating Caps goaltender Charlie Lindgren blocker side just inside\ the left post with a wrister to make it 1-0 Jets at 10:05.

The goal was his 5th of the season.

Alex Iafallo tipped a Josh Morrissey point shot past Lindgren 8:16 into the second stanza to give the Jets a 2-0 lead.

Morrissey cut for the center of the ice before floating a wrister toward the net which Iafallo managed to redirect about ten feet out from the goal crease.

The goal was his 9th of the season.

Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele broke in on Lindgren on a 2-on-1 rush halfway through the third when Scheifele fed the winger a hard pass which Connor slid past Lindgren to give Winnipeg a 3-0 lead at 10:00.

The goal was his 27th of the season.

Both clubs next see action on Wednesday as Washington visits Edmonton while Winnipeg hosts Nashville.

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Andre Burakovsky's power play goal 17:21 into the third period proved to be the game winner as the Seattle Kraken edged the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 Tuesday night.

With Logan Stanley off for slashing the stick out of Tomas Tatar's hands right in front of the Winnipeg goal, the Kraken power play went to work.

Ryker Evans slid the disc cross ice to a waiting Burakovsky just inside the right faceoff circle and he made no mistake wiring a wrister through Hellebuyck's pads to give Seattle a late 4-3 lead.

Jared McCann paced Seattle's attack with a goal and two assists.

Justin Schultz and Tomas Tatar had the other Kraken goals.

Joey Daccord turned aside 30 shots for Seattle, who moved to 27-23-11.

The win was the second straight for the Kraken, who bested the Calgary Flames a night earlier.

Kyle Connor, Adam Lowry, Nino Niederreiter scored for Winnipeg.

Mason Appleton had a pair of assists for the Jets.

Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves for Winnipeg, who saw their modest two-game winning streak snapped.

The Jets dropped to 39-17-5.

Seattle got on the board first 8:45 into the first when Justin Schultz took a feed from Oliver Bjorkstrand and beat Hellebuyck between the legs from the slot.

The goal was his 6th of the season.

Kyle Connor tied it up 8:07 into the second period when Mark Scheifele fed him a cross ice pass on his way to the net which Connor snapped past Daccord, beating him glove side.

The goal was his 26th of the season.

Jared McCann scored a shorthanded goal 17:56 into the second period on a breakaway, beating Hellebuyck high glove side when Yanni Gourde found him alone in the neutral zone.

McCann broke in alone on Hellebuyck and made no mistake, beating the Winnipeg netminder high glove side to score his 26th goal of the season.

The lead was short lived, however as Adam Lowry knotted the contest at 2 with just under nine seconds left in the second when Mason Appleton fed him from behind the net.

Lowry beat the Seattle netminder with a low shot.

The goal was his 9th of the season.

Nino Niederreiter gave Winnipeg the lead just over a minute into the third when he redirected his own rebound past Daccord with his skate to make it 3-2.

The goal was his 18th of the season.

Tomas Tatar scored 25 seconds later to tie it when he deflected a Matty Beniers shot past Hellebuyck, knocking the disc out of mid-air to make it 3-3.

The goal was his 8th of the season.

The Jets put on the pressure late in the game's waning moments including a Neal Pionk shooting at what appeared to be a wide open net, but Daccord slid across the crease to stop the Jet defenceman's shot.

It was their fourth straight win.

Connor finished off a 3-on-1 rush after two Coyotes crashed into the end boards and the Jets took full advantage as Scheifele took his time to settle the puck before dropping it for Morrissey who hit Connor with a cross ice feed which he drilled past Ingram to give the Jets the win.

Connor finished with two goals on the night.

Mark Scheifele paced the Jets attack with a goal and three assists, Gabriel Valardi chipped in a goal and an assist The win was Winnipeg's third in a row.

The Jets have won six of their last seven games and pulled to within two points of the Central division leading Dallas Stars.

Josh Morrissey had three assists.

Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves for Winnipeg, who moved to 36-15-5.

Nick Schmaltz had a pair of goals for Arizona.

Matias Maccelli also scored for the Coyotes.

Connor Ingram turned aside 28 shots for Arizona, who dropped their 11th straight game (23-30-4). The Jets got on the board first before firing a pair of power play goals to take control of the contest.

Mark Scheifele opened the scoring just over the two minute mark when he raced in to collect Josh Morrissey shoot in off the end boards before sliding a backhand past Connor Ingram to make it 1-0 Jets.

Nick Schmaltz tied the contest at 13:45 on the power play he found himself alone in front of the net after a sharp angle shot by Dylan Guenther and flipped the puck into a wide open net.

Kyle Connor gave Winnipeg the lead on the power play at 14:45 as Gabriel Vilardi found him along in the right faceoff dot and slid him the puck from the side of the Arizona net.

Connor snapped the disc past past Ingram, beating him low just inside the right post to make it 2-1 Jets.

Gabriel Valardi gave Winnipeg a two-goal cushion on the power play at 16:34.

Kyle Connor scored 33 seconds into the extra frame to give the Jets a 4-3 win.

Mason Appleton, Sean Monahan and Nino Niederreiter also scored for the Jets, who have won three of their last four games.

Dylan DeMelo, Josh Morrissey and Adam Lowry each had two assists.

Laurent Brossoit made 36 saves for Winnipeg, who Marco Rossi had a pair of goals for Minnesota.

Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and an assist.

Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 24 shots for the Wild, who Gabriel Valardi gave the Jets the lead 9:20 into the first period with a power play marker.

With Declan Chisolm off for hooking, Valardi redirected a Kyle Connor shot from the left face off circle with his skate to make it 1-0 Winnipeg.

Mason Appleton scored 14 seconds later when Adam Lowry fed him a pass from behind the net which the winger promptly snapped past Fleury to give the Jets a 2-0 lead.

Sean Monahan tipped a Dylan DeMelo shot past Fleury at 10:36 to make it 5-1 Jets.

The win was Winnipeg's second straight by a one goal margin, after besting the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night.

The offensively challenged Jets haven't scored more than two goals for their last eight straight games.

Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 39 shots for San Jose, who dropped to 14-33-5 on the season.

The Sharks have lost two straight.

Mark Scheifele and Nino Niederreiter scored for Winnipeg.

Connor Hellebuyck won his 24th game of the season as the Jets moved to 31-14-5.

Bryan Rust scored the lone goal for the Penguins.

Tristan Jarry turned aside 29 shots for Pittsburgh, who dropped their second straight game.

Mark Scheifele opened the scoring 10:20 into the first when he one timed a Nikolaj Ehlers feed past Jarry to make it 1-0 Jets.

The Penguins turned the puck over at the Winnipeg blue line on a delayed offside as Ehlers knocked down an errant pass before breaking in on a two-on-one before sliding the disc to Scheifele, who promptly rocketed the puck past a shocked Jarry to score his 15th goal of the season.

Nino Niederreiter gave the Jets a two-goal lead at 15:39 when he snapped up a puck off the end boards off a Nate Schmidt shot from the point and poked it past Jarry to make it 2-0.

The goal snapped a 16 game goalless drought for him and was his 13th of the season.

Pittsburgh carried the edge in play in the second period, outshooting the Jets by a 16-7 margin.

Bryan Rust got the Penguins on the board 14:08 into the second stanza when he redirected an Erik Karlsson shot from the point past Hellebuyck at 14:08.

The goal was his 13th of the season.

Winnipeg had a chance to extend their lead just under the halfway point of the third whene Kyle Connor sent Nikolaj Ehlers in on a partial breakaway off a pass from the high slot but the Jet winger was stymied by Jarry.

There was no scoring in the third period.
