"Yeah, I think it was our best 60-minute effort. I mean, you know, there's always things to clean up and but there's a lot to build on. There's been a lot of talk about our second periods and how we did a better job in that frame. So, yeah, it's a good win, and have to keep building," said Morrissey.
Alex Vlasic scored at 13:02 to pull Chicago to within three.
Andre Burakovsky scored a highlight reel goal just over two minutes later when he pulled the puck in between his legs and scored while reaching behind himself to make it 5-3.

"It was a good goal but at the end of the day we didn't win the game and that's what's most important obviously. It would have been better if we won."
Kyle Connor made it 6-3 at 17:19 after he cruised around the Chicago net before shelving a backhand to score his 6th goal of the season.
Jets Head Coach Scott Arniel said he was pleased with his team's effort on the night.
“Yeah, that was a real good game. I thought that, there's little things that happen over the course of a game, I don't know if there ever is a perfect 60, but that was one of our best of the year. I liked a lot of what we did, whether that was our coverage, whether than was our breakouts. I thought we were really good on our breakouts. They're a quick, young team and I thought we did a good job, for the most part, trying to stay over top of them and slow them down and, obviously, we capitalized on all our chances," he said.
Blackhawks Head Coach Jeff Blashill was looking for answers from his club heading into the third period.
"One of the things I would say is we haven't been down three kind of going into the third, well we haven't at all year and I thought our guys came out and fought hard. That was one of the things I was interested to see in terms of the character of our group. Were we going to lay down? Are we going to come out and play? I thought we did a good job of that," he said.
Chicago visits Edmonton and Winnipeg hosts Pittsburgh on Saturday.
