Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Jesper Wallstedt stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Minnesota Wild downed the Winnipeg Jets by a 3-0 score Sunday evening.

Danila Yurov, Brock Faber and Karill Kaprivoz scored for the Wild.

Jesper Wallstedt earned his third shutout of the season, as the Wild won their fifth straight (12-7-4). Kyle Comrie turned aside 27 shots for Winnipeg, who lost their second straight game.

The game marked his second start since the Jets announced that starter Connor Hellebuyck would be lost to the club for at least six weeks and possibly as long as eight.

Kyle Connor just missed breaking the scoreless tie just over 7 minutes into the second when he found himself alone in front of Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt but was stymied.

Danila Yurov scored the first goal of the contest 8:23 into the second when he converted a Yakov Trenin from behind the net to make it 1-0 Minnesota.

Brock Faber scored shorthanded 18:12 into the second period to give the Wild a two-goal cushion.

Faber snagged a loose puck along the boards before getting it to Marcus Johansson who skated it into the Jet zone before hitting a hustling Faber who drifted a wrist shot just inside the right post from the slot.

The goal was his 5th of the season.

Kirill Kaprizov gave the Wild a three-goal cushion 6:29 into the third when he got the puck to Danila Yurov before the Wild forward got relayed it to Jake Middleton at the point before receiving a return pass as he cut to the net.

Kaprizov beat Comrie with a high shot just under the cross bar to make it 3-0 Minnesota.

The goal was his 13th of the season.
